 NZone Sports

N Zone Sports began in June of 2008 with one thought in mind; to create a youth sports program with a specific focus on kids having fun. In less than two years, the company’s first venue grew to serve over 900 families in neighboring communities Tony Westbrock, Mark Lucas and James Murphy head up the management team, which collectively has over 75 years of Marketing, management and franchising experience.

Our fundamental belief that drives our organization is that all kids should receive substantial playing time regardless of their skill or talent level. Our staff and our coaches take great pride in teaching and promoting positive values to our athletes such as sportsmanship, teamwork, mutual respect, and leadership.

The N Zone sports philosophy is heavily rooted in 4 guiding principles commonly referred to as the "SAFE" approach to playing sports. Simplicity No more letting youth sports control your family’s life! Our programs are conveniently scheduled just 1 day per week. Our sports leagues feature Saturday games. Registration is also made easy through our website or by phone.

Achievement Every child is a winner. All participants of N Zone Sports and N Zone Jr. programs receive achievement awards as a reward for their participation and effort. Fun Simply put, our programs are created for kids to have a blast! There are never any tryouts and every child will receive ample playing time. Environment We believe the "winning is everything" philosophy sends the wrong message to kids. While understanding the importance of the competitive spirit, we recognize our ultimate priority lies in teaching fundamentals, teamwork and sportsmanship. It is these four elements that when successfully implemented, help create what we call the N Zone N’Counter.

Our primary goal is best summed up in our mission statement: To provide kids with an opportunity to play a sport they love in a safe and nurturing environment. After all, sports were created to have fun and we would have it no other way!

Overcoming The Problems With Youth Sports Today

Consider the following recent trends in youth sports:

• More than one-quarter of adults have witnessed a physical confrontation involving coaches, officials or parents at a youth sports practice or game.
• 74 percent say they've observed a coach yell at a child for making a mistake in a game.
• 69 percent of respondents claim they have seen coaches, parents or officials using tobacco products in front of children at youth sports events.
• 14 percent say they've seen coaches, parents or officials consuming alcohol in front of players.
• 13 percent can recall a situation in which a coach knowingly told a child to cheat.

These facts combined with the “Win at any expense” mentality have greatly contributed to the overwhelming dropout rates in youth sports. Our goal at N Zone is to "Bring back the Fun" to playing youth sports. We communicate our value system to our coaches and parents by instilling the belief that youth sports should provide an opportunity for kids to learn important life lessons while playing a game they love. We know that kids have the rest of their lives to deal with pressure and stressful situations and that their childhood years should be enjoyable and rewarding. We believe that kids have the rest of their lives to deal with pressures and stress and that their childhood years in youth sports should be fun and rewarding.

Two Profit Centers:

1. N Zone sports league's on Saturdays. Franchise owners operate a youth sports league in their local area by collecting a registration fee prior to the start of each season. Generally speaking, franchise owners pay a venue rental fee to secure facilities at places like churches, community centers, county recreation facilities or even schools. Uniforms are provided for registered players who participate in the weekly league. Games are typically scheduled for Saturday mornings and practices are limited to one per week and can even be held prior to the game.

2. N Zone Junior is a program specifically designed to operate at day care centers and elementary schools. This structured eight week program teaches children ages 2-8 basic skills, rules, values, and sportsmanship in a chosen sport. The best part of this is program is the day care centers assist us with promoting our program directly to the parents. It's all about recurring revenue. Once the mini-camp/league is over, another league starts again and usually it's a different sport. We typically do not pay the day care centers or schools for use of their site. These organizations are always looking to provide extracurricular activities to their clients. Sports Offered N Zone Sports currently offers five sports for you to choose from: Flag Football, Soccer, Basketball, Cheerleading, Tee-Ball, Golf & more. Depending on the season and climate, the sports we offer can vary. From showing you how to mark your fields to guidance with purchasing equipment, our support staff will provide assistance in helping franchise owners select the right sports for the season to ensure profitability
